Thank you for selecting our office to serve your dental needs. We appreciate the trust you have placed in us and are confident that your visits will be pleasant. Remember . . . going to the dentist does not have to be a negative experience!
Our primary concern is the preservation of your oral health. We believe in utilizing all appropriate methods to prevent dental disease with the objective of saving your natural dentition. In addition, we strive to provide you with the best possible function and esthetics. To that end, we may recommend various procedures which will help you achieve your optimal oral health.
It is not possible to achieve dental health without the elimination of active disease. This can only be accomplished if we understand what conditions are present. A thorough exam and recent full set of radiographs are necessary. In addition, we need to know about your medical and dental histories. Other diagnostic aids may be required including, but not limited to, mounted study models. We will suggest only those needed to determine how to best help you attain optimal oral health. Having the information to understand your present state of health will help us to predict your future health more accurately.
After the diagnostic appointment, a consultation appointment will be scheduled in which our findings and recommendations will be presented. Dental disease can be eliminated if we work together to that end.
If this approach appeals to you, we can begin a cooperative program of education, instruction, correction, and ultimately prevention. It may take some time to achieve these goals. However, following a pre-planned course with each of us doing his or her part, you can look forward to a lifetime of optimal dental health. If you are transferring from another dentist, it is most helpful to have the records from that dentist sent in advance of your appointment with us - especially if you have seen that dentist recently.
